Life on the Farm - Buddy Trip to Hesketh Farm

Our EYFS pupils had a great time at Hesketh Farm with their UKS2 Buddies! They had so much to see and do throughout the day.

The children enjoyed weighing, mixing and preparing either the lamb or calf milk before feeding the animals. They also had a tractor ride with Farmer Chris, along with a question and answer session. On the paddock walk, they talked about trees, animal homes and the animals living in the paddock. There was egg collecting too, with counting, opening an egg to look at the contents, and then handling baby chicks. The pupils looked at the pigs and piglets, enjoyed guinea pig cuddling, and finished with a free time play session.

It was lovely to see the older pupils helping and supporting our EYFS pupils throughout the day.
