Our school

Hebden Royd C of E Primary is a happy place of learning; our children feel safe, develop their confidence and grow their passion for learning and discovery. Our broad and varied curriculum ensures that our pupils become motivated and enthusiastic learners.

We are a busy and friendly school with lots going on. A typical day at our school sees all the children working hard on core knowledge and skills, then putting these into action through taking part in many creative, collaborative and independent activities. We often have visitors in school; one of our classes regularly works alongside residents at Mytholm Meadows Residential Home, and we love being out and about in the community.

This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.

We hope you like what you see - “Small school, big difference.”

Our vision

We nurture the unique qualities of everyone in our school and community. Opportunity flourishes here through the humble virtues of respect, knowledge and faith.

Our aims

At Hebden Royd School we are committed to:

  • Providing creative and enjoyable opportunities for children to explore and develop artistic and cultural understanding, knowledge and skills.

  • Developing a stimulating learning environment that allows for security, happiness and success.

  • Fostering within children the social skills to achieve the correct balance between being confident to express their views whilst remaining respectful and polite.

  • Developing the spiritual, emotional and moral attitudes which will give the children confidence and self discipline to act in a rapidly changing world.

  • Promoting a partnership with parents, our local congregation and the wider community.
