September 2025
Children born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021 are eligible to begin Reception class in September 2025. Applications for a Reception place must be made between 17th November 2024 and 15th January 2025. Applications are made to Calderdale Council, not directly to school.

The Early Years

Starting Nursery
Children are admitted to our Nursery class three times a year (September, January and after Easter) from the term following their 3rd birthday (or later). Full time and part time places are available, and full or half days, which is ideal for introducing children to the school environment.
If you want your child to start in Nursery, you apply directly to school. Contact us to arrange a visit and pick up an application form in the school office.
All 3 and 4 year olds in England are entitled to 15 hours free childcare per week, which equates to 5 half day sessions. Many families are entitled to 30 hours. Extra sessions cost £13.40 per half day.
Starting school in another year.
Children may be able to join our school in other year groups at any time during the school year, if a place is available. Please contact us to arrange a visit and to discuss this.
