Mr. Remarkable (Eco School)
On Monday 26th January, our playground was filled with excitement as a banjo-playing human statue, proudly displaying a sign that read “MR REMARKABLE, ECO-SCHOOL!”, captured the attention of all the children. The vibrant atmosphere drew everyone in, as they gathered around to witness this unique spectacle. In stark contrast, another individual stood nearby, holding a sign that simply said “Mr. Un-Remarkable.” Unfortunately, he went unnoticed, as he wasn’t doing anything particularly remarkable.
This lively scene set the stage for our Eco-School councillors, who then hosted a talk-show style assembly. During this engaging session, the children learned a valuable lesson: to effectively spread an eco-message, it must be delivered in a remarkable way that grabs attention and encourages others to share it. The councillors challenged everyone to brainstorm their own remarkable ideas to enhance our existing Eco-School initiatives.
Among the exciting suggestions were plans to write postcards to all MPs and even the King, as well as creating an Eco-Song that could inspire others. These ideas are not just remarkable; they are a testament to our commitment to making a difference in our community and beyond. Together, we can ensure that our eco-messages resonate far and wide, leaving a lasting impact on our environment and society.
