Religious Education

As a Church of England school, spiritual values are at the heart of our school. We encourage our children to consider the ‘big picture’ and be curious and inquisitive when learning about the wider world. As people, it is important for us to develop knowledge and understanding of other religions and cultures. Two thirds of our units are based around Christianity and the other third focuses on either other religions or themes such as respect and festivals. In RE we encourage debate and questioning as these core skills leads our pupils to think theologically and flourish as tolerant, understanding and respectful young people.
