How slimy is a snail? Are tarantulas terrifying? Do cockroaches give you the creeps? Yesterday, the infant children got up-close and hands-on with ZooLab’s unique Animal Explorer workshop. They were guided by an expert ZooLab Ranger, and they met a menagerie of mammals, insects, amphibians and arachnids. Many of the children were brave enough to hold them and overcame any fears that they may have had!
The fun and interactive workshop was the perfect way to enhance the children’s scientific knowledge about animals and humans and showed us just how WILD the kids were about animals.
During the workshop the children were:
Introduced to a variety of different exotic animals
Explored the differences and similarities between various species
Found out fun, educational facts about each animal
Were encouraged to handle all the animals
