Welcome to the Year 5 page! In our class we love to play hard but work harder! We love to try new activities and challenge ourselves. We enjoy team work and foster a supportive group ethos. We are all individuals too who want to reach our own potential as well as nurturing the fantastic individual gifts and talents which we all have.

English - Writing a Biography, relative clauses
Maths - Statistics
Science - Living Things and their habitats
R.E. - How can following God bring freedom and justice?
RSE - Being a citizen, Democracy - having a voice, Rights and responsibilities
French - Family and Friends
P.E is on Tuesdays.
What’s happening in Year 5?
Year 5 well-being committee on yellow day
Year 5 loved finding out their own information.
Great fun playing board games while it poured with rain outside!
Year 5 ambassadors for Funky Foods
Year 5 had an action packed day taking part in the Footsteps project at Cragg Vale Church learning about life Victorian mills.
This April we held a beautiful exhibition of art created by all our year groups.
Easter at Hebden Royd is always a very special celebration at our school, and this year was no different.
From 8-17 March we took part in British Science Week, a fantastic chance to inspire the scientists, engineers and mathematicians amongst all of us.
