KS2 SATs RESULTS 2016

This year, for the first time, the DfE has marked our SATs papers and converted them to scaled scores, not levels, which we have had annually before. The curriculum changed in 2014 and we adopted it in 2015. This has meant that our children have moved from one curriculum at the end of KS1 to a different set of requirements at the end of KS2. Writing judgements were limiting – ie if you did not have one of the list of requirements you were said to be not working at Age Related Expectations. We are not comparing the results of this cohort from their Year 2 SATs to their Year 6 SATs as a result of the changes in both curriculum and assessments and therefore have shown the progress made from the beginning of the year to the end of the year – working on the same curriculum expectations. Expected progress would be 6 steps.
