Over the easter holidays EYFS have a had a beautiful garden space created by Outdoor Maintainence Company. The children are loving making all sorts in the mud kitchen, balancing on the beams and relaxing in the tee-pee. This week we are writing mud recipies to help inspire us in the mud kitchen.

We love Numberblocks! CBeebies Numberblocks is a fantastic 5 minute programme written by mathematic professors which tie together the six key areas of early mathematics learning. These are;

Cardinality and Counting
Shape and Space

Flat Stan First Aid training.

Here are some pictures of Amos telling us all about Scotland for burns night (His mum is scottish).

We read his book all about Edinburgh, listened to bagpipe music and Amos taught us how to do a scottish dance!

Christmas party trip to Eureka with Year 1

Inspired by ‘The Gruffalo’ early years took a stroll through the woods this afternoon. We found lots of autumn artefacts that we will use in our art work next week but sadly we did not see a Gruffalo! Jacob decided to make a fox house using sticks and Orson thought it would be fun to make a log pile house for the snake. Arthur decided it might be tricky to make a tree-top house for owl as nobody could reach the top of the tree! We loved our mini adventure and will definitely be going back for more exploring later in the year.

We have had a morning of bikeability! We used blance bikes to practise our balance, co-ordination and spacial awareness. Louise taught us 3 ways of moving on the bike; caterpillar legs, frog legs and pirate pushing. By the end of the morning we were able to glide with our feet off the ground!

What a fun-filled first week!
